WE LIVE IN A MOSAIC COVERED HOUSE IN DUNEDIN - OUR MAILBOX IS A SCULPTURE OF COLORED, PATTERNED SHAPES - WE BUILT AN 8’ X 8’ MOSAIC ARCH IN OUR FRONT YARD - WE LIVE IN AN ENVIRONMENT WE'VE CREATED IN A WAY THAT MAKES US HAPPY- WE HOPE IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY TOO & INSPIRE YOU TO TAKE A CHANCES!

I like finding things, discarded objects, and junk, and taking apart computer circuit boards & watch parts are high on my list... Putting these together in unexpected ways, different from last time, never ceases to be exciting... getting lost in the experience, time passes without being aware of it... the process is as exciting as the completed piece, each one is an adventure .... our home is covered with mosaic, we like seeing visitors experience our home, reactions are one extreme to another. After seeing our home, people often leave discarded objects they think we can use in our work.

All of what I do is self-taught. I learned by doing, experimenting with anything we could find at yard sales, thrift shops & donations. Later on, we got kilns & made other things to put in the mosaics. My biggest inspirations are art environments. The prominent one is in Dickeyville, Wisconsin, it’s a religious grotto created by Father Wernius. Other artists inspire me also. What makes me happy about the mosaics is seeing people respond with happiness. I will be doing mosaics until I can't!
